Unlock The Secrets of Elite Traders
As a serious trader, you know that consistent profitability requires more than just strategies – it demands a meticulously crafted trading plan.
Introducing “The Inside Secrets of Elite Traders – Trading Plan”, your comprehensive guide to developing a professional-grade framework for trading success.
This has taken quite some time to write and complete, it is the culmination of 25 years of trial and error, developing a functional, fully encompassing structure for a well-balanced but organised Trading Plan (read – Business Plan), for your trading business.
The book not only covers all aspects of the total plan but includes the base template for easy construction of the Plan, by the individual.

When I first started trading I was told to organise myself a trading plan, but no one could tell me how to do that. I could not find any effective books on the subject so I decided to make one – the most Comprehensive Trading Plan Blueprint I have seen.
Many traders have attempted to start a Trading Plan but were dissatisfied with the results or gave up entirely when they didn’t understand the process properly.
And why should they…?
Tailoring your Trading Plan to your specific skills and education level of trading is not difficult to produce when you have the right information, however, much of the general information available is vague, generalisations or leading you in the wrong direction.
It’s like they want you to make poor choices.
But now, you can use a simple step-by-step guide to have your unique Trading Plan. This book presents a precise methodology for Trading Plan Construction and implementation to massively increase your profitable trades and drastically reduce your losing trades.
Distilled from over 25 years of profitable trading, this book leaves no stone unturned.
You’ll discover:
– How to set powerful goals that keep you laser-focused
– The exact steps to defining precise entry and exit signals
– Proven risk management techniques covering critical and often unknown or neglected areas
– Trade management methods to extract maximum profits
– Business consolidation practices to run your trading like a well-oiled machine

Here are just some of the results my students are starting to get using this trading plan system
Hi Pete,
Thank you for the preview of your book on Trading Plan, I found it very interesting and it opened my eyes to somethings we had not thought of or, after reading, know we had not thought through properly or show a different perspective.
As you know, I do not understand your industry, I read your Patterns book because I like to read on subjects I do not know, but still at am a loss with Trading Stocks, Forex, Futures, etc..
Your book is excellent in several ways and thoroughly explains the Business Plan Assembly and Business Strategy side of things easily.
I could easily make a Tome out of my comments, but I will go through each section in point form for you:
Goals – I love the Goals upfront -this is the normal Mission Statement most successful Companies have, but you go further, and your work has inspired me to incorporate a personal goals section for each of our C-Level and Managerial Team to incorporate their own goals into how they can integrate them into the execution of the Mission Statement.
Executive Summary – Great idea, I have seen versions of this in some of the Business Plans, I have read but very few have incorporated this.
Entry and Exit Conditions – Very interesting – looks much like part of an operations manual, and has given me some thoughts to explore incorporating into what we do, I like to Pictures of the setups, and the point by point clarification of what is being looked for in order to execute.
Risk Management – Broken down very well, and promoted some very deep thoughts, on how we can utilise some of your thoughts into our businesses.
Systemic Risk – Very interestingly explained your examination of outside factors, and observation of overall developments – length of major stock runs – unusual behaviour in the currency markets Futures Contracts and the examples used. The businesses I am involved with did not have major exposure to the Euro or Swiss Franc in January 2015, but some we do business with did, and they were hit very badly – and this could have been avoided.
Platform Risk – Great analogy here with the 2 Platform Failures you outlined, and your Solutions on how to avoid getting wiped out or badly damaged in that event. We would call that Country Risk in the Industries I am involved, and your solutions are correct, and in line with our philosophies in this arena.
Sector Risk – Great concept for many on minimising exposure to a single Group or Individual risk – we would call that Supplier or Customer Risk – great overall explanation.
Trade Risk – Well explained, and good examples.
Consolidation Section – I thought this was very well explained to your audience, not too much details, good solid Basics on the Business Plan concept. You concept of growing the business by adding more Customers and selling them all more products is pretty basic stuff in the business world.
I did think your concept of thinking of the “Instruments” as you call them as the Customers, and the way you grow the customer base was very interesting. I also thought the concepts of “each different Entry Structure” to use your words, as different products was quite novel.
Overall these concepts gave me good insight and an easier understanding of what you do.
Training and Education – A very important part of any business, for its growth and development – we incorporate a lot of this in the 5 major groups I am involved with – well done.
Testing and Development – I see what you are saying here and in my world, the basic skills that the Management and C-Suite team bring to the table can always be built on and improved. This also applies to adding new roles added for each of the above, as well as different new developments / product development etc. and is vital fo the effective growth of the business.
Planning for the – Month, week ahead – while this is pretty basic stuff in my world, our planning goes out to years ahead, it is good to see it covered in a book such as this.
Life and Business Integration – I love this section, as with all our Management team, if these areas are not covered with the family, and they are onboard with the time sacrifices, then both groups are not going to be any where near as happy as they really need to be.
Then, how you tied all this together with the original Goals / Mission Statements, I thought was seriously good.
Pete, the way you have presented this work, and the places your mind went to in order to connect all the pieces is excellent work on you part – well done!
I wish you all the best with the book launch and follow up afterwards.
Lets chat on an idea I have for further co-operation into the future.

I had the pleasure of using Peter Varcoe’s comprehensive Trading Plan Template, which is truly an invaluable resource for traders at any level. What sets this trading plan apart is its detailed approach to not just trading patterns and entries, but also to the broader aspects of trading as a business.
Peter’s extensive experience in the industry is evident in every section. The book is packed with practical advice, precise identification criteria, risk management strategies, and effective trade management techniques that guide traders step-by-step in building a robust and evolving trading plan. The clear breakdown of trading setups, complete with screenshots, is particularly helpful for correctly identifying trading structures and executing trades with the highest probability of success.
What I found most compelling is how the template aligns trading goals with life aspirations, encouraging a holistic view of trading as part of an overall lifestyle and business strategy. It is not just about making trades; it’s about understanding market conditions, managing risk effectively, and ensuring the trading journey remains adaptable to changing circumstances.
Peter’s expertise shines through in explaining complex topics such as continuation patterns, trend changes, and risk management in a straightforward and practical way. This book and template have truly transformed my trading approach, providing a solid blueprint for success in any market condition.
For those looking to enhance their trading skills and develop a detailed trading plan, this template and book are must-haves!

In a comprehensive and easily digestible form, The Trading Plan Book contains all the key considerations, that any trading plan needs to address. This runs from identification, entry and exit criteria for specific trades, through to risk management. All the headings are here together with real-world examples.
The book is also about having the right mindset. It shows how the trader should think of themselves as an entrepreneur, running a serious business, with all the implications that follow in terms of psychology and planning.

Dear Peter, having read your new Trading Plan book. This is a fantastic, in detail, structured methodology, that is an essential part of becoming successful in trading the markets.
Firstly, it’s a great addition to the first book, which I commend you for also – this gives somebody a true roadmap to exploring all the essential areas to building a solid and robust business. ‘I like you have read many books’ and they all focus on strategies and miss the essential backbone of any buisness which is a trading plan.
Another amazing book by Sir Peter, I was taken back by all the information and how informative and structured everything is – highly recommended for traders struggling.
Thank you for writing this book, for doing such an amazing job and I wish you every success.
Best wishes
Kamal S, United Kingdom – Private and Institutional Trader.
I’ve known Peter for many years, and while our trading styles differ, we share a deep understanding of the small yet critical details that traders must master to succeed in the financial markets. It’s these seemingly “small” details that truly set apart the successful traders from the rest. As the saying goes, the devil is in the details.
In trading, it’s easy to fall into bad habits, believing that negative outcomes won’t happen to us—they only happen to others. But as Peter wisely points out, bad habits are like flat tires—you won’t get far until you change them.
In this book, Peter expertly breaks down the essential habits every trader must develop. His approach is both professional and easy to understand, making it accessible for traders at any level. One of the most important aspects he covers is the concept of a “Trading Plan.” Many traders mistakenly think a trading plan is merely a set of rules for entering and exiting trades. However, as Peter explains in this book, a true trading plan is far more comprehensive.
Peter walks readers through the process of creating a professional trading plan—one that is not only effective but easy to follow. He delves into crucial topics such as setting realistic goals, creating personalized checklists, managing risk, and mastering trade and money management. What makes this book stand out is its practical approach, as Peter shares real-world examples from his own trades to illustrate these concepts.
As an Internationally Certified Financial Technician, I’ve read countless books on trading, and I can confidently say that Peter’s writing is both relatable and highly professional. There’s a saying that when you meet a true master in any field, you’ll recognize their mastery immediately. Peter is, without a doubt, a master of his craft.
Enjoy the insights in this book—it will guide you towards successful trading.
To your success,
Vladimir Ribakov

Just did my second reading on the new Trading Plan book and felt in love with the approach – in the past I used to think trading is what you call the sum of all your closed winners and losers, hopefully coming in green at the end of the year.
Well, what I had never thought of is that trading, like anything else in life, should be comprehensive and well structured, in a meaningful way. Quite a lot of times I had heard the phrase of “treating trading as a business” but, shame on me, it was not until recently that I started to realize what that actually means.
And this is exactly where the book comes to aid – it not only addresses how to structure your trades, define entry and exit points and methods to keep you safe from randomly pushing buys and sells to the market, keep track on your trades but also gives a broader and much in-depth perspective of how you can run it as a profitable business, integrate trading in your daily routine and align it with your mid and long term life goals.
In brief – a fantastic read!!
Thank you, Peter!!

Throughout my 3-year mentorship with Peter, he guided me in filling out a comprehensive trading template that covers everything I need for successful trading—from clearly defined goals to precise entry and exit conditions. The entry conditions have helped me pinpoint entry points based on my trading plan, allowing me to avoid unnecessary trades and stay clear of market noise. Likewise, the exit conditions, refined through extensive back testing, ensure that I exit only when it aligns with my plan, helping me maximize gains and minimize losses and staying away from making decision emotionally.
The risk management section is incredibly valuable, reminding me to manage my risk with each trade and avoid overexposure to the market. Additionally, the trade management section, complete with screenshots of back tested charts, has given me the tools to handle long runs effectively. I can add positions strategically while keeping a close eye on risk, ensuring my trades stay within my plan.
Moreover, the conclusion section of the template allows me to document my results, measure my progress, and plan for improvements in my trading business.
This template isn’t just a tool; it’s a comprehensive trading plan that keeps me focused and organized.

One of the biggest problems with all of the books on trading that I’ve seen is how vague the information is.
In “The Inside Secrets of Elite Traders – Trading Plan,” we cut through that, giving you simple yet actionable information so you know exactly what to do when. This means you can start making trades with confidence and with a detailed plan of action based on thousands of hours of experience.

Advanced Techniques Used By The Most Successful Traders
This is what you will have access to:
Goals – Trading is a lonely business and no general dinner party conversation as your friends will not understand it. Having your goals right up front constantly reminds you what you are doing this for and keeps you focused on the desired outcomes and what you need to do to achieve them
Entry Signals – this is where every part of every entry setup is recorded in fine detail as a constant reference so the Trader does not get confused, and can reinforce the exact parameters of the setup. A large cause of losses is inaccurately placed Entries which were not accurate to what has been developed and recorded in the Trading Plan, we cover the steps of Identification and (importantly) Confirmation of the structure for reliability.
Exit Signals – This is where every tested exit structure is recorded in accurate detail in order to provide consistent, reliable exits, that are not reactions to what price appears to be doing, we cover the steps of Identification and (importantly) Confirmation of the structure for reliability.
Risk Management – We cover every area of Risk Management, including many areas that people do not think about including Platform Risk and Systemic Risk and also a new concept of perception of the Instruments.
But Wait – There’s More …
Trade Management – the techniques developed to manage the trade to the best possible outcome for the entry or entries taken within the single run. Trade Management is also applicable to how and how many extra entries you are able to take in a longer run to achieve the best result you can.
Consolidation – This is the running of the business end of the Trading Plan. Trading is a business and should be run as such, this is where get in to how to adapt general business concepts can be adapted to the Business of trading. Things like Profit and Loss Statements, Balance Sheet, showing monthly / Quarterly / Half yearly / Yearly so you can gauge your results on each of these time frames and also observe accurately the effects of education courses you take and the effects of modifications you make to individual techniques.
Here we also cover what time we are going to dedicate to learning more, adding techniques to the plan and improving existing techniques etc
We also need to cover, how and if the rest of your family will be involved, what responsibilities each member will be assuming and how they will be working in conjunction with you.
Here we also explore Family as well as individual goals, and what each member is going to or can contribute to the Family trading growth.

And NO… This won’t cost you a fortune, hurt your brain trying to understand it or force you to sit through hours of useless information until you get to the good stuff
